When setting up my personal website, I decided to use WordPress.com because it was the easiest option to get started without worrying about hosting or server configuration. Since my goal was to document my WP Credits journey, I wanted a platform that allowed me to focus on creating content instead of technical setup.
The biggest challenge was learning how WordPress organizes posts, pages, categories, and menus. At the beginning, everything was new to me, but after spending some time exploring the dashboard, I became more comfortable with the platform and understood how to organize my content for the project.
Building my website was a great introduction to WordPress before making my first contribution. It gave me a place to document my progress throughout the program and helped me gain confidence using WordPress as both a user and a contributor.
